Despite some horrible plays and rookie mistakes the heart of the cards prevailed and I won 2-1 against Odd Eye's Jase in the opening match of The Formula vs Odd Eye war. This makes for a 3-1 record (out of the five total league matches I have played. I forgot to do a post-mortem on my loss to kotsos' Burn deck) for the deck I'm using, with two wins against members of high-ranking teams.
Lessons (re)learned: -Never Set DDWL in Warriors turn 1 game 1 when Nobleman of Crossout is definitely in your opponent's deck, just a bad practice. The deck wants opposing NoCs blank, let them stay that way. -Don't Summon BLS in attack mode to banish until you've seen Mirror Force if you plan to attack with another monster that turn. Even if you don't plan to attack, if they don't have Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke in their 55, just put it in defense mode like a normal person. I got punished hard here because I dared my opponent to have the answer and they did. -Be patient if you have the set up for a good hit. There is a sequence of events where game 1 would have ended much sooner had I not just thrown everything but the kitchen sink at my opponent. -Thunder Dragon really makes your opponent's Card Destruction bad. -If Graceful Charity gives you a boss monster and a Pot of Greed, throw the Pot of Greed away. How many bosses do you think you're gonna draw? I'd like to thank the War League server and my teammates for calling out my misplays.
